The Men of Marietta!

I’ve been so excited about Tule’s new series featuring the Men of Marietta and invited good friends and wonderfully talented authors, Heidi Rice and Kate Hardy, to share something with us about their new books. Please join me in welcoming both of these fabulous authors to JaneBlog! Heidi Rice and Kate Hardy interviewed each other about Heidi‘s Tempting the Deputy and Kate‘s Flirting with Fire, the first two books in the Men of Marietta series.  Keep reading to hear about Marietta man candy, darkroom crushes, puppies with shoe fetishes, and the importance of rigorous cover research! Kate: Heidi, tell me a little about yourself. Heidi:  Hi Kate. Well, I’m married with two sons – which can give me way too much of … Continue reading The Men of Marietta!

Amy Hatvany’s It Happens All The Time

I’m so incredibly proud of my friend, the wonderful Amy Hatvany for writing It Happens All The Time, a very important book all women should read.  It’s deep, emotional and so honest and real. Here’s more about the book: From master storyteller Amy Hatvany—whose writing has been hailed as “gripping and emotionally honest” (Stephanie Evanovich, New York Times betselling author)—comes a provocative and compelling novel about two friends whose lives are changed by a drunken kiss. I want to rewind the clock, take back the night when the world shattered. I want to erase everything that went wrong. Amber Bryant and Tyler Hicks have been best friends since they were teenagers—trusting and depending on each other through some of the … Continue reading Amy Hatvany’s It Happens All The Time

Lara Van Hulzen’s Recipe For Romance

I’ve been strapped in, working so hard to reach the deadline on my Harlequin Presents but it’s hard to resist all these fun books in the Bachelor Bake-Off!  Today I have another Bake-Off author, Lara Van Hulzen as a guest to tell us more about her book. Welcome, Lara! I began publishing with Tule after a surf lesson in Hawaii led me to connect with Jane. It’s a great story, really. One that I could see ending up in a book one day. When Jane asked me if I would be interested in being a part of a Montana Born series about a Bachelor Bake Off, I jumped at the chance. I had never done a book in a series with … Continue reading Lara Van Hulzen’s Recipe For Romance

Charmed By Chocolate with Steena Holmes

I was introduced to Steena Holmes through my very good friend CJ Carmichael.  I’d read Steena’s books long before I’d met her and I was so excited to meet Steena as she’d been such a good friend to CJ, as well as an inspiration to writers all over.  Steena has a huge heart and a passion for readers and writing and she’s one of the most giving authors I know, always willing to encourage and offer assistance. I am so excited today to share that Steena’s new book is out, and it’s a Tule story, too!  Her delicious Charmed by Chocolate is the 6th book in the Love at the Chocolate Shop series which is set in the much loved … Continue reading Charmed By Chocolate with Steena Holmes

A Chat With The Bachelor Bake-Off Authors

I love the new Montana Born series, Bachelor Bake-Off, as Marietta is near and dear to my heart, as are all the occupants, including those hunky bachelors. For extra Bachelor Bake-Off fun I asked authors Jennifer Faye and Jessica Gilmore to interview each other to help introduce them and their wonderful stories to you. Girls, I hand it over to you! Jessica: Hello Jennifer, it was so much fun working with you on this series! Could you tell me a little about yourself? Jennifer:  Hi, I’m Jennifer Faye. I live in the United States with my very patient and helpful husband and two needy furbabies aka cats. 😉 I’ve been writing for most of my life. When I was very young, I asked … Continue reading A Chat With The Bachelor Bake-Off Authors

New release! Away in Montana is here!

I’ve just returned home from the most amazing trip to the UK. I loved visiting the UK Mills & Boon/Harlequin office and spending some time with my editorial team and catching up with author friends was the highlight, but I’m so happy to be home with family for the holidays! Today is an exciting one for me as my first historical romance, Away in Montana, is here! Though my Sheenans series has concluded, I love Marietta and my characters so much, that I decided to write about their family histories. Sinclair and McKenna’s story is the first in my new series, and I cannot wait to hear what you think of it! If you didn’t get a chance to pre-order … Continue reading New release! Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is next week and I’m trying not to panic as I have a book due Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, which means this next week is going to be long hours of writing, and Thanksgiving will be more of a “thankful mom even tried to find turkey” holiday this year.  Fortunately, the boys love me and are pretending that store bought pumpkin pie is as good as mom’s homemade ones. It’s funny how reality recedes when I’m writing a lot, and as I’ve been writing a lot I feel as if I’ve been traveling almost constantly, even though I’m just at my desk, in my chair.  Late December my next Harlequin Presents comes out, and early December, my historical … Continue reading Happy Thanksgiving!

Weekend Plans and a Hawaii Treat!

It’s been a crazy week holed up in my office trying to get words down for my upcoming deadline at the end of this month but I have made some good progress.  I’ve been bribing myself with all sorts of rewards just to stay focused and the best reward is just around the corner – the chance to dive back into Lisa Kleypas’ Wallflower series (so, so good!) or, if I’ve killed it with my word count, a chance to watch one of my recorded reality shows like, ahem, Bachelor in Paradise–but ultimately the real reward will be some serious family time this weekend as Surfer Ty is finally returning to us in California after being in Hawaii all summer … Continue reading Weekend Plans and a Hawaii Treat!

The Lost Sheenan’s Bride – Release Day!

Today The Lost Sheenan’s Bride releases, and its a bittersweet day.  I confess, I put off writing The Lost Sheenan’s Bride for a long, long time.  It wasn’t because I didn’t like or know the story, but because I knew when it was finished, my The Taming of the Sheenans series would be complete, and it broke my heart a little bit.  These tough Montana brothers have been with me for three years now.  I started the first, Brock’s Christmas at Copper Mountain, late summer 2013, and here we are, summer of 2016 saying goodbye. I love connected stories, especially stories about families.  My family is my world, and when I lost my dad at fifteen, it was my close relationship with my two brothers and … Continue reading The Lost Sheenan’s Bride – Release Day!

Love Between the Covers

Four years ago, in August of 2012, I shared with you how much I loved the Kickstarter project, Love Between The Covers and all the wonderful work filmmaker, Laurie Kahn was doing on it.  For anyone who loves romance, be they writers, readers, librarians, booksellers or editors and agents, Love Between the Covers will make an impact as it reveals the global community of women who create and make these books so successful. Today, I’m excited to tell you that this documentary will be available in 13 days and you can Pre-Order your copy now!  I hope you’ll check it out and here’s a quick clip:
