Those Amazing Harlequins

I just heard back from my new editor in London that she loves my tweaks to my Christmas story set in Venice and that’s a huge relief because 1) I loved this story and was worried it was a little too “out there”, and 2) this is the first time the wonderful Sheila Hodgson has edited me and I wanted her happy with my work.  But now that she’s happy and I’m relaxed I can celebrate this fun new story that will be out in the UK end of this year and in the US the following.

This seems to be the week of the Harlequin as on Thursday afternoon I learned that my December Harlequin Presents, Duty, Desire and The Desert King finaled in the Rita’s for Best Series Romance. The Rita Award is Romance Writers of America’s annual contest and ceremony recognizing the best books of the year. Of course it’s subjective but still so very gratifying to have one’s peers appreciate your work. Thank you to the judges who enjoyed Rou and Zayed’s story and thank you to all my readers for your support. Harlequin wouldn’t be buying new books from me if it weren’t for you!!

And since I’m feeling love for all things Harlequin, I thought I’d share some of my Harlequin foreign language editions at North Kingstown Library in Rhode Island! The library has a truly fabulous collection of foreign editions and I’m so proud to be on the shelves, too.

Featured in these photos are some of the Lithuanian, Polish, and Portuguese editions of my books. I’ve just received another large shipment of foreign editions, so libraries if you’d like some foreign language editions for one of your branches, shoot me an email and they’re yours!
