Bozeman to Denver to Bellevue!

Last weekend was a whirlwind of events and travel!  I flew out of Orange County early last Saturday morning, connected in Seattle and arrived in Bozeman, MT around 3:30 pm, with the best greeting committee in the world:  Kari Andersen, Meg Munson, and Cheryl Hill.  Kari organized the amazing reader dinner for me, and we had 35 attending, and lots of great conversation and tacos and margaritas and fun.  I LOVE Bozeman, which is probably why I’m getting ready to set my big new series there in Montana.

Kari Andersen, the event host, with Jessica, Cheryl, Melanie, Jane and Meg
Jane with Kenda, Jennifer and Teresa. These ladies traveled all the way from Billings to attend and were lots of fun!

After the party, we stayed up until one chatting, but irrepressible Kari made sure to wake me up early the next morning for my flight to Denver, which was already getting storm warnings.

Fortunately, my Denver flight was one of the few flights to actually make it into Denver.  Everything was being cancelled right and left for Denver on Sunday, but with a ton of faith I got in, and Arlene’s husband, Don, was at the airport waiting for me in his very cool cowboy hat and rugged barn jacket.  He handled the snow like a pro—he is a former rodeo and Hollywood stuntman, after all–and we reached The Denver Tea House to discover a room full of readers and friends.  These intrepid ladies somehow made it through the storm, and long-time reader, Gena absolutely blew me away by trekking seven hours from Kansas for the event.   I was delighted to have two and a half hours at The Denver Tea House to spend time with women who love books as much as I do!

The very lovely and quaint Denver Tea Room with a truly delicious, delicious tea (those scones were melt-in-your-mouth fantastic!)

To read more about the lovely Denver tea and see more photos, visit The Denver Tea Room blog, where you’ll also have a chance to win a signed copy of The Good Daughter.  And now I’m racing off to yet another airport and flight, heading this time to Seattle for my Bellevue event Sunday at Barnes & Noble.  We’re going to talk books, the Brennan Sisters, and what’s next for me, as well as munch on cupcakes, cookies, and other yummy stuff.

I love living here in San Clemente, but I feel as if I’m heading “home’ to Bellevue.  My sixteen years in Greater Seattle were amazing and I can’t wait to see all my readers and friends.  Please join me Sunday if you can.  It will mean so much to me to see you there!

Join Jane in Bellevue this Sunday for coffee and dessert!

The Good Wife coming September 2013! Available for pre-order from Amazon and Barnes & Noble for a discounted price!

Before I sign off, I wanted to share the cover for The Good Wife, and mention that right now the print version of the book is available at a huge discount if you pre-order for September from Amazon and Barnes & Noble.  Normally the book sells for $15.00 and it’s on a pre-order special for $7.97 right now.   Strong pre-orders also let the publisher know if you’re interested in a fourth and final book in the Brennan Sisters series.  It’s entirely up to you.  If my readers really want it, I will write it.  But if you’re ready for something else from me, I’m ready to deliver that, too!  🙂

Have a wonderful weekend.  You are such a huge part of my life.  My kids know it, too, and both my older sons have told me that they love that I love what I do…and I wouldn’t love it half as much, if I didn’t have this incredible community and friendship with you.

  1. I know that you can’t judge a book by its cover, but your are beautiful and the books are wonderful.

  2. Have a wonderful time in Bellevue. I know it will be great to see all your friends there. Yes, I’m interested in a 4th Brennan Sister’s book! I’ll pre-order my copy of The Good Wife. 🙂

  3. So thankful you did not get stuck in an airport. Have a great time with friends in Bellevue! Those books covers are amazing. I sincerely hope that anyone who has not been one of your readers will see the covers and buy the books, what a treat for them to find and read your work. Will the decision for a fourth book only be based on the sales or is there someone we can write, too?

  4. Looks like you had a great time on your latest travels.
Have you kept up with the miles you have flown? 🙂
I can’t wait to read the next installment in the Brennan sisters series.

  5. I love when you share your reader events on your blog…Especially when it has my favorite Montana Babes:) How are you not dizzy from all that traveling??

I love what you do too!! Your writing means so much to your readers 🙂 Enjoy your Bellevue event and travel safely!!

  6. Hi Jane,

I´m so glad that you are having so much fun on your book tour. I appreciate you traveling around so that I get and opportunity, or two, to see you.
Can´t wait to see you on Sunday in Bellevue.
And you know that I for one would love reading a fourth book. Especially if it would be Brianna’s story 🙂

  7. Have a blast going “home” this weekend. I know that you will.

I have pre-ordered copies on both sites, since I always end up giving away a copy to a friend.

I want a 4th book, I am not ready to say good-bye to the Brennans.

It is always the best with you love what you do and you are passionate about it.

You are our Rock Star! Thanks for being so wonderfly talented and such a beautiful person too!

  8. Have a safe trip and have fun visiting with all your friend in Bellevue. It sounds like you had quite an adventure with your last stops. I’m glad it all worked out perfectly. I would love for there to be a 4th Brennan sisters book. I already pre-ordered The Good Wife.

  9. How sweet is that that your teenage boys said they love what you do! Did you just melt?

I just pre-ordered the Good Wife! So excited 🙂

Glad your criss-crossing the country is all working out, especially with that crazy snow storm!

Can’t wait to see you in Tucson next week. Happy Travels!

  10. I was thrilled to have a wonderful meeting with you. I wrote down the wonderful insight of the writing process you shared with us. I love writing and I love reading I can’t believe I ever stopped and did so for so many years. I thank you for reaching into my heart with your wonderful words and waking that part of me up. If you write it I will definately read it. I have already ordered the Good Wife and at such a great rate too! Enjoy every moment you can grab with your family and we your readers will be here when you finish your next book.

  11. I loved meeting you last Sunday at the Denver Tea Room. Thanks, Arlene and Margot. Love your books! Keep writing and I’ll keep reading!!! Hope you come back to Denver soon. Safe travels. All my best, Murri

  12. So much traveling….from the looks of all the photos everyone is having a wonderful time at all your events. I hope you have some time scheduled to take a little bit of rest once the book tour is over, and before the next one begins.

  13. I have missed your blg so much. I have been working two jobs, going to school and taking care of the kids. Yes I will definetly preorder for that price. I love anything you write. Have a wonderful week!

  14. Jane, So glad you are having such an awesome time on your book tour. I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next.

  15. Jane, we were thrilled to have you at the tea room and only wished we had more time to visit. We’d love to have you back in the fall!

  16. Although we were on pins and needles that your flight would be cancelled, and then re-routed to Colorado Springs, and then delayed, we were delighted you made it safely to Denver. We have a great bunch of women here at The Denver Tea Room who gather every month to chat about books, and we can’t wait to have you back in Sept. to chat about The Good Wife! I think we’ll pre-order the books now! Take care!

  17. It looks like you’re having a great time, Jane! Have a safe trip and thanks for the pre-order information. By the way, a 4th book? My vote is YES!

  18. Yes to the fourth book, definitely!

Pretty cover… but my favourite cover so far is The Good Daughter — which I read in a day last Friday and thoroughly enjoyed.

Sounds like you had a fabulous book tour, so many great cities visited and wonderful events.

  19. Yes, we want more amazing books. I would buy a fourth (and fifth?) for sure. Going to pre-order The Good Wife now.

  20. Just recently on vacation and read both books and loved them…I hate to have to wait for the 3rd in September but I will be patient….please write a fourth book so very well written!
