#TBT The Princess Brides!

In honor of the soon-to-be-born royal baby, here is a throwback to one of my series featuring princesses. This trio of dramatic royal romances from 2004 features three sisters: Princess Chantal (the oldest sister, The Greek’s Royal Mistress), Princess Nicollette (the middle sister, The Sultan’s Bought Bride), and Princess Joelle (the youngest sister, The Italian’s Virgin Princess).

These books were hard to find until re-released in recent years in ebook and are now all available on Kindle. Excerpts that were not posted when this new site of mine launched last fall are now up for your reading enjoyment — just click on any title above for an excerpt, and cover below for the Kindle link.

Part of the great fun in writing the Princess Brides trilogy was the research! I love all things royal! I documented a bunch for readers in my Book Extras. I invite you to revisit these wonderful books from early in my career with:

#Celebrate favorites from yesteryear! Have you recently seen a title and thought, “I read that so long ago… and loved it!” Tell me about it in the comments. Maybe you discovered a title in an author’s backlist you never knew about… Or tell me about your travels to Greece or New Orleans. Or tell me if these books are brand new to you and if you downloaded one for your Kindle (that’s important, because if you win, I’ll know which book not to send you.) I’ll pull three commenters at random and send a signed vintage hardback copy of one of these books. They only ever printed a few of these UK library editions, and I have a princess for three lucky readers!  Winners announced on Monday.

  1. WOW! haven’t read these yet. the book i read over and over is THE Frog Prince by you! hopefully i will be able to get the e-book re-releases!

  2. All the books sound great! I have not traveled to Greece yet, but have been to New Orleans. I loved it there. So much to see and do….love the cemetery tours, and sailing on the river, garden district walking tour, checking out Bourbon Street, and seeing all the historical sites.

  3. Thanks for the opportunity! I have not read any of them yet. I am going to Greece for the first time later this year. Very excited. I’ve been to New Orleans twice. Such an amazing city! Very hot and muggy in the summer though! Excellent food. We were there in May last year and the tourists have come back. A lot more crowded than when we were there in 2007..everything was still affected by Katrina then.

  4. i have not read any of them yet! but I am looking forward to reading them ! one of my best vacations has been to Salem, enjoyed hearing about all the witch trials and exploring all the old cemeteries

  5. Wow…these look awesome..I look at the covers and then read the first couple of pages and then the last three…..I am definitely going to have to get these If I am not picked…

  6. I’ve not read any but have long wanted to, based on your posted excerpts!
I’ve been regularly checking our used book store and other places that deal in used books e.g. ASPCA here in AK. No luck so far 🙁 But maybe soon.
    Perhaps I’ll be selected 🙂

    Thank you!

  7. I love seeing books from an author that I did not get to read previously! Once in a while I will find an older one in a second hand store that I want… glad books get a second chance with rereleases! 😀

  8. I haven’t read them either. I don’t read e-books but I do love reading about anything royal. These 3 sound like interesting reads I’d enjoy. Wow, the hardbacks are vintage looking. Thanks for the post and giveaway chance.

  9. Haven’t read these that I remember, but would love to. I reread Betty Neels books and still enjoy them. Thank you for this opportunity.

  10. These covers are so much fun, Jane! I can’t believe how people are camping out in front of Kate’s hospital–can you imagine if that happened when you were having your babies??? Wow.

  11. I haven’t read these yet, but I will be checking them out. Thank you for letting us know about them.

  12. Fun! I have not read these. I’m pretty sure one of your books was one my son picked out once for my birthday, I got several Harlequins that year. I love to reread favorite books though I haven’t done it in a while now. I feel like the TBR pile is just too tall and so many new books coming out that I want to read, too!

  13. I read all of them on my kindle a few years ago and I loved the stories. I have not been to New Orleans or Greece, but both are my To DO List! Love the covers!

  14. I remember reading Joelle’s story (Italian’s Virgin..). How did I miss the other two? They look great and so nice that they’re available on kindle. Meanwhile, New Orleans? I went there 5 yrs after Katrina, and was stunned to see that the 9th ward was hardly rebuilt, still had debris piles, and the levees still were in need of repair.

  15. I’ve been to both places and loved them both. Moussaka and bananas foster bring back wonderful memories! I’ve read quite a few of your books up I haven’t read these. I’m so glad there are more of your books out there for me to love.

  16. Oh, I have all of these–bought them when I went on a HP bender one weekend! So good! My children have been to Greece on school trips (sad, sad little children) so all I can add is that I went to New Orleans on my honeymoon 29 years ago this month. I haven’t been back even though we don’t live that far away.

  17. I’ve never read any of these…they look wonderful! My husband and I went to Greece on our honeymoon…18 years ago next month!

  18. I haven’t read any of these yet, but I love the covers. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  19. Back in the 1980’2, my sister & BIL and 2 kidlets were stationed [USAF] on Crete. My mom & I travelled there and then we 4 went onto Greece [short ones had a sitter]. The descriptions you read about the incredible colors are all true..

  20. I have not read any of these books, but one of the first books I read of yours was She’s Gone Country and I loved it and I was hooked.

  21. When I go to old used bookstores I always look for old Harlequin Presents. I used to have hundreds of them but I did lose them in the tornado. Now I go looking for old favorites. Janet Dailey had a series that was from different states and I really enjoyed them. I’d love to find Land of Enchantment. I would love a hardback copy of one of your books. I actually like it that they are pink.

  22. I’ve only visited the Greek Islands of Santorini and Mykonos through my daughter’s honeymoon pictures. I also loved the scenery in the movie musical Mama Mia. The wedding location was amazing!

Your princcess series sounds entertaining. I’d love to read Nik and Malik’s story, THE SULTAN’S BOUGHT BRIDE!

  23. l have not read any of those books so l would love to win them so I could read them. It sounds like they will be interesting to read. I haven’t been to any of those places so l know I’ll enjoy reading them. Thank you for doing give always for your fans. May God richly bless you!
