Featuring Karin Tabke…In A Bad Way!

Happy November, everyone!  I hope your Halloween was fun.  I know I ate way too many mini & bite size sweets.  I’m swearing off candy today but it’s okay as I have a wonderful treat in store for me…Karin Tabke’s IN A BAD WAY releases today and it’s just downloaded to my e-reader! I wasn’t sure how many of you know Karin so I have asked her to join us today.  I actually read Karin for years before I ever met her. I was introduced to her as an author through my friends, Michelle and Tina, die-hard romance readers and promoters of romance, and when I had questions about  about digital publishing two years ago, Karin spent an hour on … Continue reading Featuring Karin Tabke…In A Bad Way!

This Debut Author Goes Way Back

Sinclair Jayne is the pen name for one of my best friends.  I met her nearly 17 years ago introduced by our husbands.  Hers was my husband’s doctor and they suggested we talk to each other since we both wanted to be romance writers.  We met, and became fast friends, and we would talk writing–as that was our dream–but we’d talk writing in between taking care of babies and husbands and prepping meals and doing errands. The years passed and our dreams shifted and reshaped as the kids grew and our work tugged us in different directions but still, we remained fast friends.  And then Sinclair moved from Bellevue, Washington to Oregon and I was at a loss.  She’d been … Continue reading This Debut Author Goes Way Back

Charlene Sands: Got Cowboy?

I have been a fan of Charlene Sands a long, long time.  As a closet Harlequin Desire reader, I never miss a Charlene Sands release, and so I was so thrilled to hear that Charlene had signed on with Tule to write one of the rodeo stories for this year’s Montana Born imprint.  Charlene also happens to be the launch author with this year’s Copper Mountain series and her story is amazing and garnering many many 5 star reviews. For my readers who know Charlene, you’re going to love her blog (and new book!).  For those who don’t yet know her, so glad you’ve got the chance to meet her now! Welcome, Charlene to my blog and my incredibly supportive … Continue reading Charlene Sands: Got Cowboy?

September Q&A with Jane

I’ve been doing lots of interviews this summer in conjunction with the release if It’s You, and my attendance at various writers conferences and book festivals and thought I’d share some of the questions (and answers!) from the interviews. You might already know this stuff but a few of you might be new readers and find it interesting! You’ve just had your 50th book published in June. What has changed in the 15 years since you sold your first book? Besides the massive transformation of the publishing industry?  I’ve changed.  I’m a very different woman now than when I sold that first book back in 2000.  I’m stronger, more confident, and more resilient, too.  I’m also less interested in being … Continue reading September Q&A with Jane

The Girl Who Wrote in Silk

I’ve been friends with Kelli Estes for over ten years, knowing her as both a writer and an amazing woman who is always so supportive of other authors.  I am delighted that her debut novel, The Girl Who Wrote in Silk is garnering high praise as no one deserves this success more than Kelli. I wanted to be sure and introduce this wonderful author to you and invited Kelli to come and tell us about The Girl Who Wrote in Silk.  Please join me in welcoming Kelli Estes! ~~ I am so honored to be here on Jane’s blog! I first met Jane right around the time when her first book was about to be released. She and I were both members … Continue reading The Girl Who Wrote in Silk

What’s Next for the Sheenans?

Readers have been asking me what’s next for the Sheenans?  The good news is that there is quite a bit! I love this family.  I am really attached to them and not at all eager for their stories to end.  The good news is that there are still 2 more Sheenan stories to come, with Cormac and Whitney’s out in time for Christmas.  I’ve been rewriting his story after I was on a flight to Seattle and sat next to—no.  Can’t tell you.  It’ll ruin the surprise.  But let’s just say I’ve re-imagined Cormac’s story and changed it almost completely…making it well, magical, and perfect for Christmas.  The title is changing, too.  It’s now called A Christmas Miracle for Daisy … Continue reading What’s Next for the Sheenans?

I Heart CJ Carmichael

Dear Readers, CJ Carmichael has been one of my best friends for almost twenty years.  We met before we sold, and CJ was the first author to agree to launch Tule Publishing with me.  Her Carrigans of Circle C have been a big reader favorite and now she launches a brand new series, not romance, but mystery.  And CJ does mystery so very good. Welcome back to my blog, CJ.  And readers, I hope you’ll love hearing all about her new series, Twisted Cedars. C.J. Carmichael on writing her new mystery series… While I’ve written over 45 romance novels, my first love as a reader and aspiring author (if you can call a twelve-year-old that!) was mystery. I devoured the … Continue reading I Heart CJ Carmichael

Taming of the Sheenans

Hi Readers, I’ve been getting a lot of emails about the Taming of the Sheenan stories and I love hearing from you and how much you’re enjoying the series.  I am enjoying the Sheenan family, too.  These brothers are serious alpha heroes who also have serious heart–and the good news is that there are still three more Sheenan stories to come! Three more stories you ask?  How can that be?  (I know…5 brothers, 3 stories written, how does that add up to 6?)  Well, I know something those Sheenans of Marietta don’t know.  There’s a mystery in the family, and it’s not just the mom’s tragic death.  There are secrets and we discover all this year. But before I tell … Continue reading Taming of the Sheenans

Getting Going: Goals & Writing

I often get questions from fellow writers about the writing life, and I forget that Tule has put out a great book with articles and essays and writing tips with lots of my thoughts and advice on the writing life, but not everyone wants to read a book with tips and suggestions.  Many people just want the short version, or the secret to getting words down. Well, there is no secret.  It’s work.  It’s always been work, and yes, it was maybe more fun before I made it a full-time job, but it’s actually really fun being comfortable with what you do, and having some skills and the ability to manipulate craft to get the story you want. So as … Continue reading Getting Going: Goals & Writing

Cowgirl Come Home: Debra Salonen

Montana Born’s new summer series is off to a great start and the Facebook party on Thursday was a huge hit with readers.  Thank you to all of you who could attend!  I love that so many of you were there to enjoy the fun and the giveaways. Book two in the Marietta Fair series, Cowgirl Come Home by Debra Salonen is available today and I couldn’t be happier.  Debra’s such a great writer with a strong voice and such wonderful talent.  I love that she’s a Tule author as it’s always a treat to read one of her books!  I knew I had to invite her as a guest on my blog and she agreed. Here’s Debra Salonen to … Continue reading Cowgirl Come Home: Debra Salonen
