Cowboy Mac

Giddy’up cowboy!  I confess, I love this picture of Mac at our fair last week. He had his first pony ride and wanted more. Mac still isn’t talking a lot but he’s so funny even without a lot of words as he can imitate any sound or inflection and mimics every animal and person around. Like my other boys, Mac came chock full of personality, and even when he’s naughty he makes me laugh. (Just like his dad…)

Speaking of Mac’s dad, Ty Gurney, is in Bali surfing for the next two weeks and I’m all packed for my trip to Denver in the morning. I’m really excited about my lunch with my readers and am busy planning more happy hours and lunches for my Texas tour as well as my Kentucky trip in November. I might be in Atlanta as well mid November so Atlanta and Kentucky readers, stay tuned for event details!

She’s Gone Country has been getting some great reader reviews and I love all the mail about the book. I’m absolutely thrilled you like this one as much as you do. Thank you to all of you for being such great readers and friends! I feel blessed to have this community with you and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

PS There is less than a week left to get your cover girl shot in for the contest! With such an awesome prize package, don’t you want to grab a book and climb onto a truck hood?

  1. This has to be the most precious picture I’ve seen in a long time. What the little man!

She’s Gone Country is getting so many incredible reviews Jane and I’m so pleased for you!

Have fun in Denver as I know you enjoy meeting your readers and fans.

  2. SGC is my favorite book yet, I couldn’t put it down once I started reading and devoured it in less than a day. Amazing story.

Super cute pic of Mac, what a doll and I can’t wait to have lunch with you in November! I’m so excited you’re coming to my neck of the woods! I’ve missed you.

  3. What a cutie! He is always adorable!!

    Love the Book!! LOVE IT!!

I have been to Kentucky, flew in to Nashville and drove a car in to a town near E town or Elizabeth town. It’s beautiful country. Didn’t get to stay long, had a short visit with my grandfather back in 1995. I would love to go back some day, especially to check out Nashville. Everyone was so friendly and had that southern accent. It was a lot of fun!

I wish I could find that truck!
    Have fun in your travels!
    See you soon WA!

  4. Wonder if Mac is going to want a pony for Christmas? He is a natural cowboy and just darling in that picture.

I am in withdrawal having finished SGC, so I am just going to start reading it all over again. It is a keeper!

“Traveling Mercies” Jane on the tour and all the trips you are making.

  5. What a cute little cowpoke! These photos are always so precious.

I have to say She’s Gone Country was my most anticipated read this summer and the one I enjoyed the most. I loved the group of women in this series and am hoping to see more of them down the road.

Your book tours/promotions sound like fun, please some day head on up to Canada. I’m in Montreal but would travel to Toronto, Ottawa or Halifax to meet you!

  6. Aww, what an adorable picture! I love that Mac’s feet are about 2 feet from the stirrups.

And I’m so excited that you might be coming to Atlanta soon!! You’ve been traveling so much, though; I hope you’re not too worn out! Have a great time in Denver!

  7. Mac looks too cute in this pic Jane! :0) He’s almost got that look though like, “Mommy this is not a surfboard…”

    Happy trails & travels ~

  8. What a cutie pie! That’s a great picture. I loved SGC! After reading your blog over the years, I felt like Shey’s character was you. You did a wonderful job breathing life into her character. I can’t wait for the next book. 🙂

  9. Be honest and accurate – When you fill out each quote you have to
be as accurate as you can be. If you purchase from a store, should
you pay for delivery. Another reason to choose a major moving company is that they usually have affiliates located throughout the country and even around the world,
which makes a van line service an even more desirable option if
    you are moving long distance.

  10. If you have dry skin in some other areas, attention should be given there as well.
Safer than sitting for hours in the sun or tanning salon beds, fake tan creates the desired look without long
term skin damage or negative health effects. 1) Build a base tan by limiting
your tanning bed time to 20 or 30 minutes for starters, no more than 5 times a
week;. This keep stain from getting in your eyes and building up on your eye creases.
Case in point, there was a beautiful blond who worked at my local pharmacy.

Searching for a solution to protect both myself and
my family from sun damage, I came across an article on Melanotan. Consequently, there will be a decrease of development of
hair. The effect of tanning will typically fade off over a
few days, about 3 – 10 for most sunless tanning products.

Tanning using an airbrush tan usually lasts 5 to 10 days
depending on your skin type and the lifestyle you have. They are
all mothers who had dreams of being in beauty contests when they were younger, but for some reason did not make it.
